Operating with Inter-axle
Differential Locks
Note: It is recommended that the inter axle differen-
tial locks are only engaged when the machine is
operating is very poor ground conditions. The differ-
ential locks must not be engaged when the machine
is operating on tar or graded surfaces.
The inter axle differential lock control operates the
differential lock in the drop box.
When ground conditions are poor the inter axle dif-
ferential lock must be used.
Note: The drop box range selection must be used
when the inter axle differential locks are no longer ef-
fective in very poor conditions.
Note: The inter axle differential lock can be engaged
while the machine is moving. Do not engage the inter
axle differential lock while one of the wheels are
spinning.
