Ashtray
The ashtray is located on the right, below the dash-
board.
To open the ashtray pull the top and push the top to
close.
To empty the ashtray, push down on the lid and pull
the ashtray out.
Note: The ashtray is permanently fitted to the hous-
ing and must be emptied into another container.
To replace the ashtray the following must be done:-
Place the bottom of the ashtray again the housing.
Firmly push the ashtray down and in until it is closed.
Storage Compartment
The storage compartment is located behind the op-
erator's seat.
The compartment is used to store tools, machine
manuals, etc.

Controlled Traction Differential (CTD)
Switch
The CTD locks must not be engaged when the
machine is moving.
The CTD locks must only be used when the ter-
rain is poor and must not be used on tar or
graded surfaces.

The CTD locks are operated by a switch (1) located
on the floor of the cab, at the operator's left foot.
The CTD locks are used in conjunction with the
inter-axle differential locks and provide improved
traction transversely through the side shafts to the
wheels.
The switch is spring-loaded to the off position. The
switch must be held in to apply the CDT lock.
When the foot is lifted and the switch is released, the
CDT lock is disengaged.
