CHAPTER 7. PRE-SERVICE INSTRUCTIONS

Service Position

Before starting any work on the machine, unload it, wash it thoroughly and park it on firm level ground with the
bin lowered.

Park the machine in the straight ahead position and
prepare for servicing as detailed below:
‹ WARNING
If the following steps are not observed it could
result in injury or death.
1. Shut down the engine and apply the park/emer-
gency brake.
2. Remove the keys from the ignition switch and at-
tach the "DO NOT OPERATE" warning sign to
the steering wheel.
3. Install the articulation safety lock bar.
‹ WARNING
When servicing the machine and one of the axles
of the machine is raised off the ground using
jacks, the wheels on at least one of the other ax-
les must be chocked. This is because there is a
risk that the machine may roll off the jacks, even
if the park/emergency brake is applied.

4. Install wheel chocks to ensure that the machine

work on a hot machine.
5. Allow the machine to cool down.
