Neutral Cool-down Check
The neutral cool-down check determines if the trans-
mission fluid cools following an engine load
condition.
Perform the check immediately after the maximum
engine speed has been recorded in the stall test.
The following procedure must be used to perform the
neutral cool-down check:
1. Record the transmission fluid temperature.
2. Reduce the engine speed to idle and select neu-
tral (N).
3. Run the engine at 1 200 to 1 500 rev/min for two
minutes to cool the transmission fluid.
4. After the two minutes, record the transmission
fluid temperature to ensure that it has returned
to within the normal operating range; 71°C to
93°C (160°F to 200°F).
Change the Transfer Case Breather
The transfer case breather must be changed imme-
diately if it is damaged.
‹ CAUTION
Do not crush or damage the breather during re-
moval to avoid foreign matter entering the
transfer case.
1. Unscrew the nut (1) and remove the breather.
2. Replace the breather and tighten to 12 to 16 N⋅m
(9 to 12 lb ft).

Remove and Install the Wheels
Note: The procedure is the same for all the wheels.
The following safety precautions must be fol-
lowed to avoid injury and damage to the
machine.
The machine must be in the service position. Refer
to
Pre-service Instructions, Chapter
All lifting and support equipment must be capable of
