Invalid for Display
1. "O" then "L" is displayed ("OL" represents 'Fluid
(oil) Level Check Mode), followed by a numeri-
cal display. The numerical display is a fault code
and indicates conditions are not correct to re-
ceive the fluid level information, or that there is a
system malfunction. The numbers are fault
codes.
2. The fault codes are as follows:
O X
Settling time too short
5 0
Engine speed (rev/min) too low
5 9
Engine speed (rev/min) too high
6 5
Neutral not selected
7 0
Sump oil temperature too high
7 9
Sump oil temperature too low
8 9
Output shaft is rotating
9 5
Sensor failure
3. Correct the problem as indicated above.
4. When all the conditions have been met, the
countdown resumes where it stopped.
Note: Report sensor failure or any problem you are
having difficulty correcting to your nearest BELL
EQUIPMENT representative.
5. To exit the fluid level display mode, press any
range button on the push-button shift selector.
Perform a general, visual check on the transmission
and components as follows:
Check for Fluid Leaks
1. Perform a visual inspection for fluid leaks on and
around the transmission.
2. Check the sump and filter housings for damage,
leaks and security.
Check all Hoses and Clamps
1. Visually inspect all the hoses for leaks, cracks,
deterioration and possible chafing damage.
2. Ensure that the hoses are routed correctly, all
securing straps are functional and undamaged.
3. Check all the clamps to ensure that they are se-
cure.

Check all Electrical Components,
Cables and Connections
1. Ensure that the electrical cables and wires are
routed correctly and that all securing straps are
functional and undamaged.
2. Check that the cables and wires are fastened in
the correct position and no chafing can occur
when the machine is in use.
Check the Rubber Mountings and
Mounting Bolts
1. Inspect the transmission mounting bolts (1) for
security.
2. Check that the rubber mountings (2) are secure
and not damaged.

Transfer Case (Drop Box)

Check for Oil Leaks
Check the transfer case for damage, leaks and secu-
rity.
Check all Components
Check that all transfer case fittings are secure and
not damaged.
Check the Rubber Mountings and
Mounting Bolts, Hoses and
Connections
1. Check the mountings and mounting bolts for se-
curity and damage.
2. Inspect the hoses and connections for security
and damage.
