Lowering the Bin

To lower the bin the following must be done:
Move the tip control lever towards the front of the
cab and hold in position until the bin is fully low-
ered
Release the tip control lever.
Select drive (D) on the gear shift control.
Release the park brake and drive off slowly.
Note: The tip control lever is spring loaded to the
central position (holding position).
‹ WARNING
Do not operate the bin tip lever unless the trans-
mission is in Neutral (or dumping in 1st or
Reverse). This practice can over-ride the safety
functions and could cause damage to the ma-
chine and/or personal injury.

Steering

Normal Steering

The machine normal steering system is operational
when the engine is operating.
‹ WARNING
There is no self centering function with the ma-
chine
steering.
The

straight ahead position

Emergency Steering

‹ WARNING
If there is an engine or main pump failure, the
ground driven emergency steering system will
enable the operator to steer the machine to a
safe stop. In this event the machine must be
stopped as quickly as possible.
Note: The emergency steering system is powered
by a ground driven pump and will be operational until
the machine is stationary.

When the emergency steering system is activated
the emergency steering indicator (1) will illuminate.
Note: There is no self centering function with the
machine steering. The machine must be straight-
ened by turning the steering wheel to the straight
ahead position
‹ CAUTION
If the engine fails the machine must be steered to
safety as soon as possible.

Operating Indoors

Machines may only be operated in buildings ap-
proved by site management.
When operating the machine indoors ensure that
there is sufficient ventilation for the exhaust fumes to
escape.
Do not exceed the maximum floor load when operat-
ing indoors.

Overnight Parking

When the machine is to be parked overnight the fol-
lowing must be done:
Ensure the machine is unloaded.
Park the machine is on firm level ground.
Move all the switches to the OFF position.
Ensure the transmission is in Neutral (N).
Ensure the park/emergency brake is applied.
Switch the ignition OFF and remove the key.
Lock the cab door.
Open the battery box lid and move the battery
disconnect switch to the OFF position .
Ensure the battery box lid is closed properly. Se-
cure with padlocks if required.
Ensure that the fuel cap and the bonnet release
lever are locked.
