Battery Disconnect Switch
The battery disconnect switch is located in the bat-
tery box.
Note: The battery disconnect switch is only to be
used when the machine is shut down for long peri-
ods or when the batteries are to be removed from the
machine.
The battery disconnect switch is a rotary type switch.
The switch is operated as follows:-
Turn the switch counter clockwise to the OFF posi-
tion to disconnect the batteries.
Turn the switch clockwise to the ON to connect the
batteries.
‹ CAUTION
Do not leave the battery disconnect switch in the
ON position when the machine is shut down for
long periods of time. This will cause the batteries
to loose their charge and may result in battery
failure.

Controls
Steering Wheel
Note: An emergency steering system is standard on
all machines.
The steering wheel is turned clockwise or counter

clockwise to make the machine articulate to right or
to the left.
When the steering wheel is turned hydraulic fluid is
passed to two hydraulic steering cylinder attached
across the articulation assembly.
Note: There is no self centering action on the steer-
ing system. The machine must be returned to the
straight ahead position by turn the steering wheel.
If there is an engine failure the machine must be
steered to safety and stopped immediately.
