Introduction

The 250 hours service must be performed when the
machine has operated for 250 hours and the service
must be repeated every 250 hours thereafter.
Every 250 hours service must be performed by quali-
fied service personnel.

Service Instructions

Ensure that the machine is in the service position.
Refer to
Pre-service Instructions, Chapter 7.
Perform all the Daily or 10 Hourly Service Checks.
Perform the following additional tasks:

Engine

Change the Oil and Oil Filter
cClean the Fuel Screen
Procedure described in
Hours Service.
Check the Anti-freeze/Corrosion
Inhibitors
Procedure described in
Hours Service.
Check the Drive Belts Tensioning
Procedure described in
Hours Service.
Check the Accelerator Throttle Linkage
and the TPS Attachment to the
Accelerator Lever
Procedure described in
Hours Service.

Transmission

Check and Clean the Transmission
Breather
The transmission breather must be checked daily in
adverse working conditions. The amount of dust and
dirt encountered will determine the frequency of
breather cleaning.
‹ CAUTION
Do not spray steam, water or cleaning solution
directly at the breather, the spray could be
forced into the transmission.

1. Ensure that the transmission breather (1) is se-
cure and clean.
2. If the breather is encased in mud or dirt it must
be scraped clean or removed and cleaned in
water.
Check and Clean the Transfer Case
Breather
The transfer case breather must be checked daily in
adverse working conditions. The amount of dust and
dirt encountered will determine the frequency of
breather cleaning.
‹ CAUTION
Do not spray steam, water or cleaning solution
directly at the breather, the spray could be
forced into the transfer case.
