CHAPTER 10. FIRST 100 HOURS SERVICE
Introduction
The 100 hours service must be performed by BELL
EQUIPMENT Product Support service personnel.
Service Instructions
Ensure that the machine is in the service position.
Refer to
Pre-service Instructions, Chapter 7.
Perform all Daily or 10 hourly Service Checks.
Perform the following additional tasks.
Engine
Note: For further engine information or details not
shown in this manual, refer to the ADE Engine Man-
ual.
Change the Oil and Oil Filters
‹ CAUTION
When changing oil and oil filters always inspect
the old oil and old filters for foreign matter or
contamination. If in doubt contact a BELL
EQUIPMENT representative for advice.
Drain the Oil
Note: The engine oil will drain easier when the en-
gine is warm.
‹ WARNING
Be careful when draining oil, hot oil can cause
burns to unprotected skin.
1. Open the belly plate.

2. Place a 35 liter (9.2 USGAL) container under the
sump drain plug (1).
3. Remove the drain plug and seal from the sump.

Note: The seal may stick to the sump, ensure that it
is removed.
4. Allow the oil to drain into the container.
5. Clean the drain plug and check for damage to
the thread. Replace if necessary.
6. Re-install the drain plug with a new seal.
Change the Oil Filter
The oil filter must be changed at every oil change .
The oil filters must be changed and cannot be
cleaned.

1. Place a 4 litre (1 USGAL) container under the oil
filter drain plug (1).
2. Remove the oil filter drain plug and seal.
3. Allow the oil to drain into the container.
4. Unscrew the oil filter retaining bolt (2).
5. Remove the oil filter bowl and the filter element.
6. Clean the filter bowl, element retainer, centre
bolt and the drain plug.
7. Re-insert the drain plug and a new seal.
8. Fit a new O ring to the filter bowl.
9. Insert a new filter element into the filter bowl.
