First review the slide information displayed in the Slide Selection window. Analyze the details
provided in the BD FocalPoint™ Slide Results data considering factors such as: quintile ranking,
endocervical component detected, squamous cells detected etcetera.

In the Slide Selection window (illustrated in Figure 3-7) select Review.

Primary image area
The primary image area is used to display the FOV images captured from the BD FocalPoint™
Slide Profiler. These black and white, 20x magnification images are not to be used for diagnostic
purposes and are provided for location verification only.
Slide map
The slide map portion of the display is located just beneath the primary image area. The slide
map shows the current position of the microscope stage on the slide, illustrates the positions of
the pre-selected FOVs, displays the slide identification number, and indicates which FOV is
currently presented for review.
Toolbar Buttons
The toolbar buttons are used to turn BD FocalPoint™ GS Review Station features on and off.
Information on how and when to use these features is described as it occurs in the workflow. See
Section 5 for a description of each of the available functions and a suggested workflow.
History Panel
The History Panel shows slide information or cytologic interpretations made by previous
reviewers using the BD FocalPoint™ GS Review Station.
