Backup

Choose Utilities†Backup (see Figure 11-7). Use the Backup command to perform a manual
backup in case the automatic backup failed for some reason or as requested by BD service
personnel. For complete instructions on how to use this utility, see Backing Up Your Data in
Section 15.
11.5

Eject Tray

Choose Utilities†Eject Tray (see Figure 11-7). Eject a tray that is currently processing on the
selected instrument by clicking on the Eject button. Click on the OK button to confirm the eject
tray action. After several seconds the tray will be ejected into the output hopper. To not eject the
tray, click on the Back button.
11.6

Shut Down

Choose Utilities†Shut Down to display this command (see Figure 11-7). Use the Shutdown
command to shut down all functions of the BD FocalPoint™ Slide Profiler (see Figure 11-15).
Occasionally, this may be requested by BD Technical Service and Support for troubleshooting
purposes. This may also be done if the BD FocalPoint™ Slide Profiler has to be powered off or
shut down for an extended period. For complete instructions on how to shut down the system,
see Shutting Down the System in Section 15.
11.7

Service Mode Disabled

The Service Mode:Disabled button is restricted to authorized BD service personnel.
