The slide results window is then cleared except for results for the slides in the tray currently
being processed. A series of dashes in the status column indicates processing is not
complete.

The newly created print set is archived in the database. (If Reprint is chosen from the Main
Window to display the Reprint Results window, the new print set is added at the top of the
print set list.)
By archiving each print set in the database, the scoring and ranking information is preserved for
each print set. Ranking information for a slide cannot exist outside of the print set in which it was
created.
12.1.2

Printing

The term printing refers to printing slide result reports or essentially creating print sets. These
reports can either be initiated manually, or set to print at regular intervals.
Setting up the system to print automatically is described in Section 11.3.
Generating reports manually is described earlier in this section in Section 12.1.1.
When a slide result report is printed, all fully processed slides posted in the Slides Processed
Field (see Figure 11-5) are printed to pre-selected reports and stored in the database as a print
set.
Do not create a print set containing less than 20 slides; doing so causes the ranking information
to be less reliable. If a print set is created containing less than 20 slides, the system displays a
warning dialog box and the paper report includes a printed warning at the bottom of the report.
(The number of qualified slides available for printing is displayed beneath the slide information
window.)
To obtain duplicate or additional reports for a print set, use the Reprint command, which is
described below.
12.1.3

Reprinting

The term reprinting refers to printing slide results using the Reprint command. Reprinting a
report prints slide results that have been previously printed. That is, the Reprint command
accesses slide results stored in the database.
When reprinting reports, entire print sets can be reprinted (sorted by rank, barcode, or date) or a
barcode range or a date/time range can be reprinted. Reports reprinted using either the barcode
range or date/time range do not contain any ranking information because these options print
results data that may span multiple print sets. (See Section 12.1.1.)
