Suggested Report Options
This report can be sorted by Rank, Barcode or Date. If the QC Review report is for previously
unprinted results, it contains results for all QC review slides processed since the last print set
was created. For a definition of a print set, see Section 10.4.
To obtain ranking information when reprinting QC Reports, a specific print set must be selected.
This is because ranking information is based on a slide's scoring position within a print set—a
slide has no rank outside its print set.
As an aid for QC rescreening, slides on a QC Review report (sorted by rank) are ranked for
probable abnormality. Each slide is individually ranked from 1 to n, where 1 indicates a slide most
likely to contain abnormality and n is the slide least likely to contain abnormality (n is the number
of Review slides in a print set, minus the scant cellularity slides). Additionally, each slide is
assigned a group ranking, ranging from 1 to 5, where 1 indicates the group most likely to contain
abnormalities. For more information on creating a print set and ranking, see Section 15.6.1 and
Section 10.4.1.
Use the QC Review report as a worksheet when doing QC rescreening of slides called within
normal limits (WNL) or Negative for Intraepithelial Lesion or Malignancy (NILM) by a
cytotechnologist during manual screening. Refer to Section 19 for recommendations about
performing QC rescreening.
