Setting BD FocalPoint™ Slide Profiler
Report Options
This section provides detailed instructions on how to select and define various slide result
reports, which are automatically printed when the Print button is selected in the Instrument
window. Before report types are set, users should be familiar with the information contained in
Section 12.
Use the Report Type drop down menu to select various types of reports and to define the sort
order and the layout options for each report selected. Additionally, when QC Review reports is
selected, the percentage of Review slides to print on each QC Review report is defined.
Although it is possible to define many types of reports, most laboratories select only those types
of reports that most easily fit with their established workflow.
Each feature of the Report Type drop down menu is explained in the following sections.
Step-by-step instructions for defining reports and QC Review reports follow these descriptions.
Refer to the following sections:
Slide Report Types (Section 14.1), describes the various slide reports and how to select
options for each type of report.
Selecting QC Review Report Options (Section 14.2), describes the various QC slide reports
and how to select options for each type of QC report.

Slide Report Types

To display the Report window, click the Report icon in the Main Window. Proceed by clicking the
Edit button, followed by the Add button, and then click on the arrow to the right of the Report
Type drop down menu. A window similar to the one shown in Figure 14-1 appears. Each area of
this window is described below. Step-by-step instructions for defining a report appear at the end
of this section.
