Shock and fire potential from spilled liquids. Do not place containers
Slide Profiler
with liquids on the device or the workstation cart. Do not spill liquids
on the system; fluid seepage into internal components creates a
potential shock and fire hazard. Shut down the device, disconnect
from the power source and wipe up all spills immediately. Do not
operate the system if internal components have been exposed to
fluid.

Be careful not to drop or break slides during slide preparation and

Electromagnetic fields. This is a Class A product. In a domestic
Slide Profiler
environment, this product may cause radio interference with other
electronic devices, such as telephones and other medical equipment,
in which case the user may be required to take measures to reduce
such interference.

After opening a hopper door, be sure all moving parts in the hopper
have stopped before inserting or removing a tray. If trays are inserted
before all moving parts have stopped, injury may result or the
instrument may malfunction.
BD FocalPoint™
If slides that do not match the operating mode of the instrument are
Slide Profiler
successfully processed on the instrument, the slides results reporting
for the print set will be invalid. All the slides in the print set must be
rerun on an instrument with the correct operating mode.
BD FocalPoint™
When adding trays to the input hopper during processing, be careful
Slide Profiler
not to touch the extended edge of a tray currently being processed.
Touching the tray could invalidate the positioning determinations
made for the cellular features on the slide in process.
BD FocalPoint™
Contact BD Technical Support before attempting to shut down the
Slide Profiler
instrument.
Follow the shutdown procedure exactly.
