5.1 Preventive Ordinary Maintenance
To Keep inperfect order all the components of Matrix Cube System, a few simple preventive maintenance
works are required, in particular:
Periodic Cleaning of the Various Components, and Calibration of Tension Sensors.
In addition, it could be necessary to adjust the coil separator, if the separation is not carried out correctly.
Whenever a creel cleaning or maintenance operation is to be carried out at a height
exceeding 2 meters, use exclusively a footboard, a self-stable ladder or a suitable lifting
device.
Never lean a ladder to the creel and never try to use the creel frame to reach the top side of
the creel itself. →Falling risk due to the movable creel, that leans on wheels
5.1.1 – Periodic Cleaning of the Various Components
This operation must by carried out at least twice a year, or more frequently, when the system operates
under critical environmental conditions.
To this purpose it is advisable to carry out a monthly visual inspection to establish the most appropriate
frequence of such cleaning works.
We remind that an excessive accumulation of dirtiness , especially when combined with a high
ambient humidity, may lead to a deterioration of the system general performance and reliability.
To clean the various system components, you may use an industrial vacuum cleaner and/or a compressed
air blow, keeping the gun at a distance not lower than 20 cm from the item to be cleaned and adjusting the
air pressure to a value ≤ 4bar.
Thoroughly clean the yarn and dirtiness residues from the counter-wheels, yarn- braking devices, sensors,
and Diaper-Feeder devices, as shown on the following figures.
