4. Configure the field values by referring to Table 8.

Table 8. Network Static IP Selection Window

Item Name
Host Name Enter a host name for the access point. Here are the
guidelines:
- The host name can be from 1 to 63 alphanumeric
characters.
- The hostname cannot contain spaces or any special
characters, except hyphens.
- The first or last character cannot be a hyphen.
- The access point can have only one hostname.
- The default is one of the following, depending upon
the model of your access point:

Select Static IP.
Connection
Type
Static IP Enter the new IP address for the access point. The
Address device can have only one IP address. The default is
192.168.1.230.
Subnet Mask Enter the subnet mask for the IP address. The default is
255.255.255.0.
Default Enter the default gateway address for the unit. The
Gateway default value is 192.168.1.254.
DNS Specify the Domain Name Service (DNS) server
Nameserver address. This field is optional. The default is no name.
