Chapter 2 — Configuring EasyLAN Wireless

Parallel Port Parameters Defined

Parameter
Definition
Output Mode
Selects the mode for data output.
Bidirectional
Selects whether the parallel port supports two way
communications.
ECP
Enables or disables the enhanced capabilities port.
Output Buffering
Enables or disables setting aside a portion of memory for
buffering output data.
PJL Status enable
Enables or disables printer job language status.
No input while
If this box is checked, the server will not poll the printer
busy
for data if the printer is asserting the busy status line on
the interface.
This is only valid if the Bi-Directional check box is
checked.
Input poll delay
If this box is checked, the printer will not be polled for
input data immediately after a print job completes, but
will wait for a poll period before checking. Some
printers require this delay at the end of a job.
Input poll period
This value indicates the time, in milliseconds, between
polls of the printer for input data. Smaller values
increase response time, but may reduce print
performance.
Start of job delay
This value indicates the time, in milliseconds, that the
server should wait if the printer is busy when a job
starts. If non-zero, this delay gives the printer interface
signals time to settle, if the printer has just been
powered up

8 If the page contains the Network Card Update Password field, enter
the current update password. The default is
9 Click Submit. The message, "Data updated successfully," appears. The
changes will take effect the next time you reset EasyLAN Wireless.
10 (Optional) To make the changes effective immediately, click the link,
Configuration has been modified. The unit must be reset for new
values to take effect. The Reset Server page appears. For help, see the
instructions for resetting the EasyLAN Wireless print server, starting
with Step 4 on page 67.
11 Click another command on the left to continue working, or click
Logout and close your web browser window.
