TCP/IP Parameters Defined

Parameter
Definition
TCP/IP
Enable or disable TCP/IP communications.
If you disable TCP/IP communications, the EasyLAN
Wireless cannot communicate with the network.
Enabled Services
Configure the services on the port you are using. For
help, see "Configuring the Port Services" on page 49.
Applications
Select the protocols you want enabled.

IP Address
Enter the IP address for EasyLAN Wireless.
If you change the IP address and reset EasyLAN
Wireless to make the changes effective immediately,
you have to enter the new IP address in the
Address/Go to field of your browser to get the web
browser interface back.
Subnet Mask
Enter the subnet mask.
Gateway
Enter the IP address for the gateway or router.
Boot Method
Select the method for setting the EasyLAN Wireless
TCP/IP parameters when the printer turns on or
EasyLAN Wireless is reset:
AUTO sets EasyLAN Wireless to try to get an IP
address using DHCP, BOOTP, and RARP. If it
cannot get an IP address using these methods,
AUTO changes to STATIC.
DHCP sets EasyLAN Wireless to use a DHCP
server to get its TCP/IP parameters.
BOOTP sets EasyLAN Wireless to use the boot
protocol to get an IP address.
RARP sets EasyLAN Wireless to use the reverse
address resolution protocol to get an IP address.
STATIC sets EasyLAN Wireless to use the static
TCP/IP parameters (IP address, subnet mask,
gateway IP address, and so on).
Boot Tries
Enter the number of times the AUTO, DHCP,
BOOTP, or RARP boot method tries to set the
TCP/IP parameters before it uses static values.
