Printing From a Windows 2000/XP, Windows Server 2003, or Windows NT4 PC

The following two sections explain how to:
• set up your printer to print from a Windows 2000/XP or Windows
Server 2003 PC.
• set up your printer to print from a Windows NT4 PC.

Setting Up for a Windows 2000/XP or Windows Server 2003 PC

To set up for a Windows 2000/XP or Windows Server 2003 PC, you need
to install the InterDriver for your printer and then install the printer.
Note: These instructions are based on Windows 2000. If you have
Windows XP or Windows Server 2003, the prompts and field names may
be slightly different.
To install InterDriver
• Run the PrinterCompanion CD, open the Software page for your
printer, and install InterDriver on your PC. Intermec recommends that
you accept the default location.
To install the printer
1 Select Start > Settings > Control Panel. The Control Panel dialog box
appears.
2 Double-click Printers. The Printers dialog box appears.
3 Double-click Add Printer. The Add Printer Wizard dialog box appears.
4 Click Next.
5 Choose Local Printer, make sure that the Automatically detect and
install my Plug and Play printer check box is not checked, and then
click Next.
6 Choose Create a new port, choose Standard TCP/IP Port from the
Type drop-down list, and then click Next. The Add Standard TCP/IP
Printer Port Wizard dialog box appears.
7 Click Next.
8 In the Printer Name or IP Address field, enter the IP address of the
EasyLAN Wireless. A port name appears in the Port Name field. Click
Next.
9 If a dialog box displays the message, "The device could not be
identified," make sure that Standard is selected and click Next.
