    Installing EasyLAN Wireless When you first consider installing EasyLAN Wireless printers in your data collection network, you should arrange for a site survey. An Intermec representative analyzes the range of radio frequency devices in your facility and determines the placement of the access points and printers with EasyLAN Wireless.

    To install InterDriver • Run the PrinterCompanion CD, open the Software page for your printer, and install InterDriver on your PC. Intermec recommends that you accept the default location. To install the printer 1 Select Start > Settings > Control Panel. The Control Panel dialog box appears.

    This section explains how to set up your printer to print from a Windows 95/98 PC. To print, you must install the Intermec Print Monitor, which is available on the PrinterCompanion CD. This print monitor creates a network port for the Ethernet link on a Windows 95/98 system. As a result, the port acts transparently with any printer driver for Intermec printers and any application program.

    • If your PC wireless adapter includes an option for 802.11 ad-hoc, you must select it if you want to use the printer in Ad-hoc mode. If it does not include this option, select Ad-hoc Computer-to-Computer or whatever mode your adapter uses to communicate when you do not have an access point.
