TCP/IP Parameters Defined (continued)
Parameter
Definition
RARP Boot
Select whether RARP sets the subnet mask based on
Settings
the EasyLAN Wireless IP address and sets the gateway
IP address. To use these settings, set the boot method
to RARP or AUTO.
Select Set address with ARP/Ping if you are using
ARP to statically configure the EasyLAN Wireless IP
address. For help, see "Configuring the IP Address
Using ARP" on page 33.
TCP Window
Enter the maximum TCP window for TCP
communications. Normally this value is set
automatically, but you may want to change it to
optimize network performance.
TCP Timeout
Enter how many minutes or seconds a TCP job can be
idle before the job is terminated. If you set the timeout
to zero, the TCP job can be idle indefinitely.
LPD Settings
Check the LPD Banner Enable check box to set
EasyLAN Wireless to print the banner page in an LPD
control file.
Check the LPD Retry Enable check box to set

been terminated before it was completed to be resent.
If the LPD job is resent, EasyLAN Wireless continues
printing the job where it had stopped.
Keepalive Timer
Enter how often in minutes EasyLAN Wireless sends
an IP ping packet to the router to keep the router
aware of EasyLAN Wireless.
Enter 0 to disable this feature.
Probe Idle
Select Enable if you want EasyLAN Wireless to send a
Connections
probe packet on TCP connections with no data traffic.
If EasyLAN Wireless does not receive an
acknowledgement, it closes the connection.
TCP Receive
Select Enable if you want EasyLAN Wireless to
Checksum
compute the TCP checksum on received packets.
Select Disable to enhance performance, but data
corruption will not be checked.
Access Control
Click Configure IP Access Control to configure the
range of IP addresses allowed to communicate with
