4.5.5.1 Standard EMV Transaction
The sequence for calling the command is as follows:
1) (Contactless Only) In solutions that accept all card types, the host may configure the device using
Command 0x09 - Set / Get Device Configuration to set Alternate GUI Control = Alternate to
avoid unintentional reading of contactless cards when a cardholder intends to use the magnetic stripe.
Screens that would ordinarily prompt the cardholder to approve an amount will then include prompts
to select a payment method (
2) As a cautionary measure, the host may send the device Command 0x02 - End Session to make sure
the device does not have a previous unfinished transaction lingering, which would block initiation of
a new transaction.
3) The host finalizes the amount for the transaction. (Handheld Operation Only) For solutions that
implement tip or cashback, this involves the host first calling Command 0xA0 - Request Tip or
Cashback (Handheld Operation Only).
4) The host sends the device Command 0xA2 - Start EMV Transaction.
5) The device prompts the cardholder to present payment by displaying pre-defined EMV messages:
a) DynaPro and DynaPro Go show

Tip or Cashback, the device will also show the Tax, Tip, and Total amounts, or the Tax,
Cash Back, and Total amounts, respectively.

command specified both Contactless Chip Card and Magnetic Stripe Card are enabled:
