Recommended Inspection Activities Cleaning the Robot in Relation to COVID Due to the added focus on cleaning your robot, Universal Robots recommends cleaning with 70% isopropyl alcohol (rubbing alcohol). 1. Service and Replacement of Parts Machine covers and metal tables are electrical grounds.They increase the risk of damage, because they make a discharge path from your body through the ESD-sensitive part. (Large metal objects can be discharge paths without being grounded.) Prevent ESD-sensitive parts from being accidentally touched by other personnel and do not put unprotected ESD-sensitive parts on a table.

5. Service and Replacement of Parts Brake on Base and Shoulder joints Brake on Elbow joints • Make sure to replace blue lid onto joint correctly and fasten screws before turning on controller. • Correct torque value for screws on blue lids are 0.4Nm 5.2.4.

Always use new pre-coated screws where possible. If you must assemble with old screws carefully clean the screws and apply Loctite 243 to the threads before assembly.

The lower arm wire bundle kit contains wire bundle for multiple robot types. Please be sure use the correct length. • In order to mount a new wire bundle in the UR3 lower arm, it is recommended to remove the elbow. This should make the job easier.
