Changing the Melter Software Version

As new features and fixes become available, you will likely want to upgrade
the melter software.
1. Log into your BBconn Cloud account and select MEDIA CENTER.
2. Under Software Updates, select the link for your ProBlue Flex. The
default location is to your /Downloads folder. Copy the .DAT file to the
root of a USB drive.
3. Insert the USB drive into the melter. The .DAT file is automatically
detected and the upgrade process starts. The System Status LED cycles
between red, yellow, blue, and green, and all LED lights remain on while
the software is being upgraded. This phase takes about 6–12 minutes (6
minutes for one temperature control board plus two additional minutes
per extra temperature control board, for a maximum of four boards).

If the upgrade was successful, the melter goes through its normal startup
sequence. When done, you can resume normal operation.

If the upgrade fails, the USB indicator flashes.
NOTES:
S
Do not remove the USB drive during a system upgrade. The upgrade will
fail if you remove the USB drive before the process is done, if you switch
the melter off, or if there is a loss of power. When the process is
interrupted for any of the above reasons, upon reboot, the software
version remains as it was before the interruption.

If there are more than one .DAT file on the root of the USB drive, then the
.DAT file that is newer than the current version is used to upgrade the
melter.

If the .DAT file is the same version that is already installed, then the
upgrade process is automatically halted. No changes are made to the
melter.

When transferring files between the melter and BBconn Cloud, the USB
drive must be formatted using FAT or FAT32. No other format, such as
NTFS and exFAT are supported.
