Assigning Remote Recipe Inputs

Using a PLC, you can toggle input bits high or low to "remotely" load a recipe.
1. Log into your BBconn Cloud account, then do the following:

Select SETUP TOOL - create or load a .NOR file.
S
Select SYSTEM SETTINGS | SYSTEM IO.
2. Select the LEGACY Input option at the top of the INPUT screen.
3. Select the appropriate input that you want to assign as Remote Recipe.
Remote Recipe inputs are sequentially assigned (top-down) and are
dedicated only for Remote Recipe. For example, if you assign Remote
Recipe to Input #1, you can select from Remote Recipe 1 through 3. If
you assign Remote Recipe to Input #2, then you can only select Remote
Recipe 1 and 2. If you assign Remote Recipe to Input #3, then you can
only select Remote Recipe 1. You cannot assign a Remote Recipe to
Input #4. Refer to More About Remote Recipe Input Bits for more
information.
4. When done, select SAVE.
NOTES:
S
Remote recipe pertains to control systems that use recipes and that have
at least more than one available input. Some control systems provide the
ability to add more inputs and outputs by purchasing additional hardware.
S
Previous input assignments will be lost when you assign an input to
Remote Recipe.
S
You cannot span remote recipes between different hardware. For
example, you cannot span remote recipe cross STANDARD, LEGACY or
LIGHT TOWER.
S
A recipe must be saved as a number. Alphanumeric or custom names will
be ignored.
S
You can assign up to 15 Remote Recipes.
S
The actual order of the recipe on the melter determines the bit sequence
(high or low) as to which recipe will get loaded on the melter.
S
You cannot invert an input selected for Remote Recipe.
