Real-time clock

NLC-055... base units include a real-time clock as standard. NLC-050... base units
require installation of the RTC option module in Slot 2.
To obtain a real-time clock and other functions, the RTC option module installs in slot 2 (for
more information, refer to "Option modules" on page 14).
When installed, the RTC option module provides date and time retention, data retentive
memory and project storage. The RTC is updated at the top of every hour. If the RTC option
module is not installed, the project is stored on the Nanoline. The date and time can be set
using the Operator Panel but will not be retained if power is removed. In addition, any data
values are not retained when power is removed.
To set the date and time using nanoNavigator software:
1.
Connect to the Nanoline base unit using the desired option module (USB, RS485 or
RS232). For more information, refer to the nanoNavigator manual.
2.
Click the "nanoLC... Set Date/Time" menu.
This information can be set for a project when not connected to a base unit by clicking the
"nanoLC... Configuration..." menu and clicking the "Configuration" button for the base
unit. From the "Configure Base Unit" dialog box, select the nLC-MOD-RTC option module
in Slot #2 and click the "Configure" button.
