To provide an interface for the user, two optional Operator Panels (NLC-OP...) are available
for the Nanoline controller.
The NLC-OP1-LCD-032-4X20 Operator Panel uses an 8-line, 21-character Liquid
Crystal Display (LCD), four navigation keys, an <OK> or select key, a shift key and five
data entry keys.
The NLC-OP2-LCD-076-4X20 Operator Panel uses a 4-line, 21-character Liquid
Crystal Display (LCD), four navigation keys, an <OK> or select key, a menu key and
numeric data entry keys 0 through 9.
When a user interface is created within nanoNavigator, the navigational keys allow

Description

While programming of the Nanoline controller is accomplished through the nanoNavigator
software, the Operator Panel provides the ability to monitor the control, enter values and
troubleshoot the project.
During normal operation (Run mode), programmer-defined screens are displayed for the
operator. These screens are created using nanoNavigator. Navigation between the screens
can be automatic, selected by the flow chart, or manual, depending upon which keys are
pressed by the operator. If programmed, data can be entered at the appropriate screen
using the number keys. nanoNavigator, the programming software, allows the programmer
to enter messages using the first 20 characters in rows 2 through 5 for display within the
control application.
This manual focuses on the use of the Monitor and View functions of the Operator Panel.
The functionality of the screens as displayed within the control application is controlled by
the programmer.
In Monitor mode the Operator Panel displays specific data points. Data points can be forced
either ON or OFF. System information is also available within this mode. Monitor mode also
allows start and stop of the program and displays system information.

There are 15 user input keys on the Nanoline for user input.
Four arrow keys allow moving through menus and can be used in the control
application.
The <OK> key provides several functions. One is to select a field or function when
debugging. Another is to accept a user input in the control application.
The numbered keys along the bottom are for menu selection and data entry when
debugging or within the control application. Numbers 0 through 4 can be entered with
a single key press. Numbers 5 through 9 can be entered by holding the <Shift> key and
pressing the desired number.
When used within a Decision block, pressing a key, either <OK>, an arrow, or number key,
