i-mode mail or Message R/F is held at the i-mode center when one
of the following occurs.
Handset is turned off
Outside the service area
While Omakase Lock is set
While connected to the FirstPass center
During iC communication
When there is no available space due to full of protected or
unread i-mode mail
Opening new i-mode mail

Receive i-mode mail automatically (U flashes).
: To cancel the receiving: Press t.
• Receiving may occur depending on the timing.
: When FOMA terminal is closed, the Flash movie of incoming
mail appears in the sub display.

After reception, the receive complete screen
appears and the mail ring tone sounds (U
appears).
: If no operations are performed in the receive complete screen
for approximately 30 seconds, the screen before reception
automatically reappears.
: The stock icon C (mail message) appears when the stand-by
display reappears.
: When the FOMA terminal is closed, sender's mail address
appears in the sub display. Name appears if sender is saved to
the phonebook. [Receive complete] appears if i-mode mail that
cannot be replied to is received. After that, the total number of
i-mode mail, SMS and Area Mail appears.
Stopping the ring tone
: To show the Inbox list screen: Press t.
: To show the screen before reception: Press c or H.
: To show the receive complete screen: Press u.
While in the Self mode
During a Videophone call
During Ir communication

Select [Mail]/select mail/t.
Check with FOMA terminal if i-mode mail received from the FOMA
terminal and PCs were received as To, Cc or Bcc.
In the following cases, even if the mail is received, the Receive
display and the receive complete screen do not appear. Also, Mail
ring tone does not sound, Mail/Message LED and Mail vibration do
not activate.
Calls are in progress
Camera is being activated (excluding Character reader, Bar
code reader and Card reader)
GPS positioning is being performed
1Seg is being watched/recorded (except when using Multi
Window)
PC movie is being played back
Area Mail is being automatically displayed
Data on the microSD Card is being viewed
Pattern definitions are being updated
i-motion is being downloaded (Streaming type)
Displaying mail ticker
When Mail ticker is set to [Sender+title] or [Only notice], the mail ticker
appears in the screen if mail is received while other functions are
being activated.
In the following cases, the mail ticker cannot be displayed.
• Camera is being activated
• Full-screen is being displayed (excluding while watching 1Seg
and playing video)
