5. Lift the elevator car out of the PTM extrusion.

Replacing the Elevator Car
1. Position the belt clamp midway along the PTM. Place the elevator car into the PTM
extrusion, over the belt clamp, engaging both pairs of wheels into the PTM extrusion
channel. The wheels of the elevator car should ride in the "V" grooves of the PTM
extrusion channel. The cartridge opening on the elevator car should face away from the
PTM motor housing assembly (see Figure C-25).
2. Replace and tighten the two captive screws that secure the elevator car to the belt clamp
bracket (see Figure C-24).
