Description
Use the modem auto-answer command to configure a modem to operate in auto-answer mode.
Use the undo modem auto-answer command to configure a modem to operate in non-auto-answer
mode. Then, the modem answers a call only when it receives the AT command sent by the router.
By default, a modem operates in non-auto answer mode.
Use these two commands according to the actual answer mode of the modem. When the modem is in
auto-answer mode (the AA LED of the modem lights up), use the modem auto-answer command to
prevent the router from issuing answer instructions. If the modem is in non-auto answer mode, use the
undo modem auto-answer command to enable the router to issue answer instructions on the arrival of
incoming calls.
NOTE:
This command applies to only AUX ports.
If the answer mode configured is not consistent with the actual answer mode of the modem, the modem
may operate improperly. Do not perform the operation unless absolutely needed.
