Oil
Pump.
Take off the t w o securing nuts and slide the pump off the studs.
C r a n k s h a f t a n d Camshaft Nuts.
Remove these nuts.
N o t e that the camshaft
has a
L.H.
THREAD (turn clockwise t o unscrew) and the crankshaft nut has a
R.H.
THREAD (turn anti-clockwise t o unscrew).
D i s t r i b u t o r
Gear
(Coil).
Remove the circlip from the drive pinion boss groove,
which retains the pin lockihg the drive gear o n the shaft.
Remove the pin when
the gear and steel thrust washer can be withdrawn.
M a g n e t o Gear.
unscrew the securing nut and screw into the gear centre the
withdrawal tool (DA50/1) which is supplied w i t h the tool kit. When the tool is
i n position, tighten the centre bolt when the gear w i l l be withdrawn from the shaft-
Carnwheels.
If
the bushes i n the timing side crankcase are not worn,
it
i s un-
necessary t o remove the camwheels
as
the crankcase can be split without detaching
them.
The removal of these gears necessitates the use of the special withdrawal
tool

Screw the body of the cool
"C"
o n t o the threaded portion of the
camwheel (See Fig.
I t ) ,
and by screwing the extractor bolt "A" i n the camwheel
is withdrawn from the shaft.

Remove from the spindle.
