A m m e t e r . This indicates t h e charging rate o f either the dynamo o r the alternator
when t h e engine
i s
running, and the amount of discharge when the lights are " O N "
and engine stopped.
I g n i t i o n C u t - O u t B u t t o n ( T I 0 0 & T110).
This button
i s
centrally disposed i n
t h e nacelle and when depressed the ignition t o t h e sparking plugs i s "CUT-OUT".
This i s done by earthing t h e magneto primary circuit.
S t e e r i n g D a m p e r .
T u r n t h e damper knob clockwise t o increase damping.
The
TR5 damper knob is i n t h e same relative position, the operating rod passing through
t h e head lug i n all cases.
OIL P R E S S U R E I N D I C A T O R
The Indicator b u t t o n operates through the oil pressure release valve, which is
situated i n t h e t i m i n g cover.
W h e n t h e engine i s running the indicator button
MUST protrude
t o
ensure that o i l i s being fed t o the crankshaft.

The air control lever i s located o n the frame back stay (L.H.) immediately behind t h e
saddle.
T u r n the lever away from the stop t o open the
a i r
valve.

The mixture control lever i s fitted t o the base of the carburetter and connects t o the
jet.
T o enrich t h e fuel m i x t u r e raise t h e lever, and for normal running depress the
lever
to
its lowest p o i n t (See page 155 for further information).
F O O T C O N T R O L S
F o o t b r a k e .
A flat pedal i n front of the left footrest.
Depress t o operate.
The
fi r st
application should be applied gently and then pressure increased as the road
speed decreases.
Gearchange.
A small foot lever i n front of the right hand footrest.
The lever
i s
moved " D O W N " t o select
a
l o w ge;lr and "UP" t o select a higher gear.
The gear
selected is indicated by
a
Rnger and indicator plate o n the gearbox front.
The
neutral position
i s
between 1st and 2nd gear and the marking " N u o n t h e indicator
plate denotes the selection position.
