Dismonrlinf Clutch
C l u t c h Plates.
W i t h d r a w the bonried and plain plates from t h e housing.
When this stoge is reached, no further dismantling
i s
necessary if only service relined plates
ore to be fitted. On the other hond, if i t is desirable to overhoul the shock obsorber unit,
proceed'os below. For the overage owner the changing of the shock obsorber rubbers
con be more easily effected with the clutch i n situ.
If
the shock absorber shows no sign of w w r , the
uni:
should not be disturbed, the operator
proceeding with dismantling from (Clutch Push
Rod.

S h o c k A b s o r b e r
Outer
R e t a i n i n g Plate. Unscrew t h e four 2
B.A. countersunk
screws and remove t h e plate.
Engine M a i n s h a f t Nut.
Remove t h e mainshaft n u t and withdraw t h e r o t o r o r
sleeve
as
the case may be.
B r a k e Pedal.
First engage TOP gear and then replace the pedal
on
iu spindle,
connecting up the operating rod. Depress t h e pedal
to i t s
fullest extent and wedge
by inserting a suitable t o o l between r h e a r m and t h e stop.
