K i c k s t a r t e r .
This is behind the r i g h t hand footrest.
A l l models have t h e
ft
pedal type w i t h t h e exception of t h e TR5; this model has t h e folding pedal type.

W h e n first taking over the machine, t h e rider should re-adjust t h e various controls
t o suit his o w n individual requirements.

Footrests.
The left footrest i s located by t w o pegs and may be placed i n three
different positions.
T h e right footrest is mounted o n a taper, o n t h e rigid frame
models, and may be placed i n any desired position.
The r i g h t footrest is non-
adjustable o n the swinging arm frame models.
A f t e r adjustment ensure t h a t t h e
nuts are tightened securely.

G e a r c h a n g e Lever.
This is fitted
to
a serrated shaft. T o re-position, slacken off
t h e set-screw and ease the lever off the serrarions. Replace i n a convenient position
!;
and tighten u p the set-screw.
F o o t b r a k e Pedal. This pedal is adjustable o n t h e Rigid Frame Models simply by
adjusting t h e stop screw which i s located on the brake pedal spindle lug.
A f t e r
making an adjustment,
it
may be necessary t o re-adjust t h e rear brake (see page 108).
H a n d l e b a r s .
Adjustment is made by slackening off t h e f o u r "U" b o l t nuts and
turning t h e handlebar t o the desired position.
The TR5 handlebar is clipped
t o
the t o p lug by four set-screws and by releasing these t h e handlebar can be adjusted
i n a similar manner. Ensure that either set-screws o r nuts are securely tightened t o
i
avoid handlebar slip.
C o n t r o l Levers.
If the clamping screws which secure t h e lever assemblies t o t h e
handlebar are slackened, the control can be moved t o suit t h e rider's preference.

Twinseat.
This item cannot be adjusted for height, b u t has been : o designed t o
suit the average rider.
W h e n placing
a
machine w i t h Swinging A r m rear springing o n the p r o p stand, p u l l
the rear o f the machine upwards. If this
is
n o t done the rear suspension units w i l l
eventually extend against the damping and the movement may cause the machine t o
fall over.
