The following paragraphs have been drawn u p t o cnablc thc rider t o diagnosc trouble which may arise during normal service.
For each failure,
the faults and antidotes arc arranged i n order o r probability. In cach casc the rider should always look for the obvious, such as n o petrol, oil.
controls incorrectly set, cut-out w i r e shorting. and, before searching l o r an "A.C." ignition lault, always check over all electrical connections and
clean and tighten i f ncccssary; then follow w i t h the proccss o l climination.

Removc, clcan o l l carbon and wash i n petrol. Allow t o dry.

Re-gap t o 0.012"-0.015" (Magneto) 0.014"-0.016" (Coil)

Remove A r m and clean Pivot w i t h f i n e cmery, grease lightly and replace A r m . Check gap.
Remove Pick-ups and thoroughly clean; replace il cracked o r damaged.
Removc Plugs and licat up.
