it a short refreshing charge t o prevent any tendency f o r t h e plates t o become
permanently sulphated.

When connecting t h e battery, unscrew t h e knurled n u t and w i t h d r a w t h e collet o r
cone shaped insert, noting that
it i s
n o t interchangeable w i t h t h e collet i n t h e other
terminal.
Bare t h e end o f t h e cable f o r about one inch and thread one bared end
through t h e knurled n u t and coilet.
Bend back t h e cable strands over t h e n a r r o w
end of t h e collet and insert t h e coliet and cable i n t o t h e terminal block. ;Secure the
connection by tightening t h e knurled nut.

The A.C. Lighting-ignition U n i t and dynamo u n i t have been designed f o r positive

earth systems.
If t h e battery connections are reversed t h e equipment w i l i
be damaged.
