Slacken the distributor clamp bolt and
rotate t h e distributor slowly until the contact breaker heel is on the peak of the
cam lobe, when t h e point should be separated.
T o adjust the points, slacken off
the t w o screws securing the fixed contact plate and move ti.-, ;late t o give a 0.014-
0.016" (0.36 m m . - 0 . 4 mm.) gap between t h e contact points. Tighten u p the screws
and re-check t h e gap adjustment.

Positioning. Unscrew the rocker inspection caps. Engage TOP gear and

then rctate t h e rear wheel i n the correct direction for forward travel, watching t h e

valve operation i n the
R.H. ( T ~ m ~ n g Side) cylinder.
