10.1.1 Measures to be performed prior to the initial commissioning
Before commissioning, familiarise yourself with the operation and configuration of the
BCL 500i.
Before connecting the supply voltage, recheck all connections and ensure that they have
been properly made.

10.1.2 Starting the device
Connect the supply voltage +10 ... 30VDC (typ. +24VDC); the BCL
