Installation and mounting
Notice!
Mount the BCL
window of the barcode reader is parallel to the object. This will result in an angle of inclination
of approx. 25°.

Mounting location
When selecting a mounting location, pay attention to:
• Maintaining the required environmental conditions (temperature, humidity).
• Possible soiling of the reading window due to liquids, abrasion by boxes, or packag-
ing material residues.
• Lowest possible chance of damage to the BCL
sion or jammed parts.
• Possible extraneous light (no direct sunlight or sunlight reflected by the barcode).
6.3.5
Devices with integrated heating
For devices with integrated heating, also observe the following points:
• Mount the BCL 500
e.g. using rubber-bonded metal.
• Mount in such a way that the device is protected from draughts and wind; mount addi-
tional shields if necessary.
Notice!
When installing the BCL
scanning beam can exit the protective housing without obstruction.
