[edit system ntp]
Statement introduced before Junos OS Release 10.2 for J-EX Series switches.
Configure the server that NTP queries when the router or switch boots to determine the
local date and time.
When you boot the router or switch, it issues an
server to determine the local date and time. You need to configure a server that the router
or switch uses to determine the time when the router or switch boots. Otherwise, NTP
will not be able to synchronize to a time server if the server's time appears to be very far
off of the local router's or switch's time.
address
—Address of an NTP server. You must specify an address, not a hostname.
