Logs
Boot Log
The Boot log is a log of the Linux operating system boot processes and will only be useful to American Dynamics
support engineers who require additional information on the device.
Procedure 9-17 Display Boot Log

Select Setup on the GUI banner to display the setup menus.

Select Logs from the System menu.

Select the Boot Log tab.

Select Refresh to refresh the log for the most up-to-date information.
Procedure 9-18 Filter the Boot Log

Select Setup on the GUI banner to display the setup menus.

Select Logs from the System menu.

Select the Boot Log tab.

Enter the number of lines of the log file you would like to view in the Lines (from the end of the log file
text box.

Enter the word or phrase that you would like to search for in the Filter (only lines containing text) text
box.

Select Refresh to refresh the log for the most up-to-date information that meets the filter parameters.
Audit Log
The Audit Log will log details of.all changes made in the areas of the GUI outlined in the following list. The details
logged are source, class, result, user and a description of the change.
• Changes in FTP, SMTP, CIFS, IPV4, IPV6, SNMP, and DNS are logged under class NETWORK.
• Changes in Stream are logged under class VIDEO.
• Changes in Reboot, Reset and Upgrade are logged under class MAINTENANCE.
• Changes in DIO and ROI are logged under EVENT.
