OSPF Router Configuration.
Consolidates and summarizes routes at an area boundary. To disable this
function, use the no form of this command.
To Enable: area <area-id> range <ip-address> <mask> [no-
advertisement]
To Disable: [no] area <area-id> range <ip-address> <mask>

Name Definition
<area-id> IP address that represents the area-id for the system.
<ip-address> IP address of the area range.
<mask> IP address of the mask for the area range.
[no- Suppresses advertisements of this summary. When
advertisement] suppressing, advertisements of IP routes in this range are also
suppressed.
The following command sets an area range on the indicated area.
(configure router:ospf)# area 2.0.0.0 range 10.0.5.123
255.0.0.0
