The Oracle Database Appliance Version 1 PCIe expansion system includes one standalone
low-profile slot on the motherboard and a PCIe riser with three slots. These are provisioned as
follows:
Motherboard slot – A low-profile, dual-port SAS-2 HBA used internally
PCIe slot 2 – Dual-port SAS-2 HBA used internally
PCIe slot 1 – Quad-port 1-Gb Ethernet NIC
PCIe slot 0 – Dual-port 10-Gb Ethernet NIC
