Program 03 Flexible PCB Slot Assignments

Important! After completing Program 03 set the configuration in memory by powering
The Program 03 record sheet is the main record for the hardware configuration of the entire
system. It provides space to record station ports assigned to the station, tie, and DDI line
PCBs and line numbers assigned to the ground loop start, Exchange, tie, and DDI line PCBs.
Use the PCB Code Reference Table to determine the proper option code for each PCB with
an option.
The DK40 Base KSU is divided into four fixed slots, even through the unit has no slots per se.
Slot 00 represents the system's common control (TMAU) and optional K5RCU
Slot 11 contains the KSU's eight digital circuits/ports (DKU)
Slot 12 contains the KSU's four optional Exchange lines or ISDN BRI (NT or TE)
circuits (TCOU or TBSU)
Slot 13 contains the four optional standard telephone circuits KSTU3
Slot 14 contains four optional Caller ID circuits for TCOU (TCIU2). This is not
available in the UK

DK40 Slots 15~18 (Expansion KSU Assignment Criteria)

Allowed PCBs: PDKU, RSTU, PSTU, PEKU, PCOU, RPTU, RBSU, RBSS, PACU,
PEMU, PIOU, PIOUS, PEPU, Stratagy DK.
Note
Expansion KSU PCBs must be installed in the slots specified in Tables 2-9~2-15 or the
system may not operate properly. (See tables in Chapter 2 – DK40 Configuration of the
Strata DK40 Installation and Maintenance Manual.)
Slots 15 and 16 support Speaker OCA; slots 17 and 18 do not. All slots support Handset
OCA and RPCIU-D1 TAPI operation.
On DK40, RPTU must be installed in slot 15 or 17 and the following slot 16 or 18
dependent on which is used, must be left vacant. As a maximum the first 12 channels
only can be used.
Important! Toshiba strongly recommends that the RPTU PCB is installed in Slot 17. See
If Tie Line PCBs (PACU, PEMU) are installed, the station port numbers assigned to
them are 028 ~ 039 for Tie Lines 01 ~ 12 respectively. Station ports 028 ~ 039 are used
for Toll Restriction and LCR settings for the Tie Lines (See Programs 40, 41, 48, 49 and
56).
