Standard Telephone Interface Unit—An optional PCB with a built-in ring
generator that provides interface for eight-standard telephones or optional
hardware peripherals (voice mail devices, Background music source, fax
machines, etc.). The RSTU has a built-in 80V RMS sine wave ring generator.
The RSTU also has connectors for the R48S, which extends station loop length
and is described in this section.
Optional 48V Power Supply—Subassembly that can be connected to the RSTU
to extend the loop length of standard telephone circuits (including the resistance
of the phone) from 600 ohms to 1200 ohms.
Software MIS for ACD.
Factory-installed sub-unit board that is "piggy-backed" onto the PSTU.
ISDN BRI Interface Unit—This unit provides support for two ISDN BRI
circuits (4 B channels). The two circuits are switchable (TE/NT). This can only
be installed in the base KSU).
Four-Circuit Loop Start Exchange Line Board— An optional PCB providing
four loop start Exchange line circuits in the Strata DK40. (This can only be
installed in the base KSU).
Flexible RS-232 port which can be used for maintenance and MIS (ACD).
Slots in a telephone KSU/cabinet that are used for a variety of optional PCBs.
