Process Data Configuration
The process image in the I/O-IPC is configured according to the Intel format.
The following section describes the representation of all WAGO-I/O-SYSTEM
750 and 753 I/O Modules in the process image of the I/O-IPC as well as the
configuration of the process data.
NOTE
Depending on the specific position of an I/O module in the I/O-IPC, the
process data of all previous byte- or bit-oriented modules must be taken
into account to determine its location in the process data map.
18.2.1
Digital Input Modules
The digital input modules provide a process value of one bit per channel, which
indicates the status of the respective channel. These bits are mapped into the input
process image.
If analog input modules are in the node, the digital data is grouped in bytes and
added to the analog input data in the process image.
Some digital modules have an additional diagnostic bit per channel in the input
process image. The diagnostic bit detects faults (e.g., wire breakage, overloads
and/or short circuits).
