Optical Port
The STM-16 card or ASAP card optical port facility loopback test is performed on the node source port
in the network circuit. Likewise for the STM-64 payload loopback. In the testing situation used in this
example, the source optical port in the source node. Completing a successful facility loopback on this
port isolates the optical port as a possible failure point.
