TRANSMIT: When the cursor is over this field and ENTER is
pressed, each of the items marked with an asterisk, along with any
free text, will be transmitted via the data link. The DATA LINK DIS-
ABLED message will appear on this line if the data link is disabled
and the request will not be transmitted.

AIRPORT ANALYSIS PAGE

This page allows the operator
to transmit a request for takeoff
and landing weight restrictions
for a specific airport runway.
See Figure 8-9.
AIRPORT IDENT: A four char-
acter field for entering the iden-
tifier associated with the airport.
RUNWAY ID: A ten character
field for entering the runway
identifier.
TEMP: A three character field. The leading character is the charac-
ter is the + or - sign followed by two numeric characters for airport
temperature. If a third digit is needed for a positive temperature, a +
will not be displayed.
Two lines of free text can be entered with a maximum of 20
alpha/numeric characters for each line.
TRANSMIT: Pressing ENTER with the cursor over TRANSMIT will
send the displayed data to the home base via the data link. DATA
LINK DISABLED will appear on this line if the data link is disabled
and the request will not be transmitted.
DVT/HOLD PAGE
The Divert/Hold page allows
the operator to enter and then
transmit data pertaining to a
divert or hold situation to the
home base. The page is divid-
ed with divert data entered on
the left side and hold data
entered on the right side. See
Figure 8-10.
