Cruise control

Important safety notes

Cruise control maintains the set speed of the
vehicle for you. In order to keep the speed
within the specified tolerance range of
between 2 and 15 km/h on downhill gradi-
ents, cruise control brakes the vehicle using
the continuous brake. When the continuous

brake slows the vehicle, the à indicator
lamp lights up in the instrument cluster.
G
If you call up a stored speed and this is dif-
ferent from the current speed, the vehicle
accelerates or brakes. If you do not know
what the stored speed is, the vehicle may
accelerate or brake unexpectedly. There is a
risk of an accident.
Take the traffic conditions into account
before calling up the stored speed. If you do
not know what the stored speed is, store the
desired speed again.
! Do not exceed the maximum speed of the
individual gears. Keep an eye on the rev
counter.
If you fail to adapt your driving style or fail to
pay attention to your surroundings, cruise
control can neither reduce the risk of an acci-
dent nor override the laws of physics. Cruise
control cannot take the road and weather
conditions into account, nor the prevailing
traffic situation. Cruise control is only an aid.
You are responsible for the distance to the
vehicle in front, for vehicle speed, braking in
good time and remaining in lane. You should
always adapt your driving style to suit pre-
vailing road and weather conditions.
Do not use cruise control:
